Gizzard Shad in Lusby

I caught this fish on Sunday, March 8 2015. This was in Lusby, MD on freshwater. I believe it is a member of the shad family but I cannot tell. Please let me know what you think.

DNR Response: It is a gizzard shad, which is a common resident species in lower salinity tidal rivers and some freshwater lakes throughout Maryland.
