The Town Creek Delayed Harvest Trout Fishing Areas were float stocked with a total of 3,000 rainbow trout on March 16th. Bear Creek Hatchery and Inland Fisheries DNR staff were assisted by members of the Nemacolin Chapter of Trout Unlimited to float-stock the entire upper Delayed Harvest area, this section of the stream has some spectacular "cliff pools" that are great places to trout fish. We also float-stocked most the the lower area near the Bull Ring Ranch, an area characterized by fast runs and some large flat pools. Winter stoneflies were hatching and dark stonefly patterns in size 18 - 14 should work well. With winter now behind us - it is trout fishing time!
