My son Jason and I went out for our annual opening day trip at Deer Creek (Rocks State Park). Needless to say it was the coldest opener that I recall in a good while! The fishing was very slow which was odd because we normally have a limit by 9. My son did manage to hook up with a rainbow trout which was the oddest one Ive ever seen, it was a short but fat trout! We left a short time later so we could warm back up. We came back out later on Saturday and I managed to catch another nice one. We used Berkley Powerboats (white). We will be back out fishing this week!
