Succes in Salisbury

Type: Tidal
Region: Eastern
Location: Bell Creek

Easter Break is upon me so my family and I headed to Salisbury to visit my mother. Each morning I've been waking up and heading to a different location to try a little freshwater fishing. Wednesday morning I went over to Pemberton Historical Park to give the Bell Creek a try. I was casting an inch and half curly tail grub on a 1/16 oz jig and was able to catch a few crappie and bluegills. I switched colors from a green with silver flecks to a lemon yellow. I made my cast and started to retrieve when I felt the line tighten. After a few minutes, everything came together and I was taking photos of a 21" chain pickerel, my first of the year, and only third in my time of fishing. All were released healthy to fight again.
