...they walk over when they see you come home from work to tell you that the fish have arrived at your local fishing spot. That is what happend to me on Tuesday (3/8) evening. As I stepped out of my car at home, I hear "guess what I caught today". My neighbor replies "about 50 white and yellow perch".
The local spot is on the upper Choptank River in Greensboro. With that news, my son, neighbor and I went back after dinner and managed to catch 7 white perch in about 30 minutes of fishing before it got dark. Earlier in the afternoon, my neighbor caught a handful of yellow perch and a bunch of white perch, including a 11.5 inch one.
Included below is a short video of my son catching a white perch. Note that he quickly states that he caught a bigger one than me, and that he one the night's contest of the biggest fish. While it was only a 30 minute fishing trip it will be a lasting memory. Looking forward to reading everyone's Angler's Log this year.
