Slow Fishing at Owens and Friends

Just returned from a trip to Owens and Friends Creek. Both have trout but the fishing can be slow. Started out the day fishing lower Owens Creek but had no bites and saw no fish. Went upstream and caught a little rainbow trout which I threw back. About mid day I went up to Friends Creek and caught nothing for several hours. Finally from one of the deep pools I hooked a foot long rainbow and then another from an upstream hole. I finished the day with a nice chunky Brown Trout caught at a long pool upstream. This may have been a holdover trout. Though I did not catch any lunkers I wound up with 3 trout by days end.
