Award Size Pickerel at Loch Raven

The pickerel fishing action has been great at Loch Raven this spring. My son Neil Villanueva was on a mission to catch a citation sized pickerel this weekend after losing the "big one" earlier in the week. We set out early from the fishing center on Saturday Morning and the action was great all day. By mid afternoon Neil caught a nice 25 inch fish that earned him a ticket into the Maryland Fishing Challenge. All pickerel that we kept were expertly filleted by Neil for another upcoming fish fry.
