Although the cold snap last week slowed the panfish bite down a bit we still managed some excellent fish on a variety of tiny jigs, jig-flies and plain baits. Fish were scattered but look for regrouping and increased spawning intensity with the June 2nd full moon. Our best fish this week were a 10.5 inch female and a beefcake 11-inch male bluegill that took the Tobacco Road Jig in 1/80th oz.
Just a reminder that my son Matt and I will be doing a bluegill seminar at Bass Pro Shops in Hanover, MD. this Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11 AM and a Hybrid Mania Sunfish seminar at 3 PM. Would love to share information with many readers of these fishing reports.
Enjoy and have a safe Memorial Holiday!
