Fishing at Wicomico Shores

On Tuesday, May 19, I took Elijah catfishing at Wicomico Shores on the Wicomico River. The fishing was slow, but we caught two blue catfish and a ten inch Atlantic croaker. We were using clam snouts and Atlantic menhaden (called alewife by bait dealers) for bait. We saw other fishermen catching Atlantic croaker in the nine to ten inch range. These fishermen were using blood worms, shrimp, and squid for bait.
