Deep Creek Lake's Diverse Fishing Opportunities

Type: Nontidal
Region: Western
Location: Deep Creek Lake

Inland Fisheries staff recently conducted the annual Deep Creek Lake fish population survey within 20 stations representing all habitat types. The lake continues to support a diverse fishery: largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, bluegills, pumpkinseeds, black crappie, walleye, yellow perch, chain pickerel, northern pike, and rainbow trout were the more popular sportfish collected with some exceptional specimens! Now is definitely the time to fish Deep Creek Lake!
