I always thought that catfish were famous for being finicky and only would go for big homemade stinky baits placed securely on the bottom with a heavy sinker. Imagine my surprise when this fat 27 incher grabbed my fast moving 1/4 ounce shad dart at Conowingo Dam last week. He gave a great battle, even better than most of the larger shad I've caught there in the past. Sadly, after seven trips during this season's run, I have yet to bag my first American Shad of 2015. But I'll keep trying on into June!
