I was fishing this past weekend on a pier in the Benedict area [Golden Beach] can you tell me what kind of fish this is ?
DNR Reponse: The fish is called a striped killifish, they most often inhabit sandy areas of the Chesapeake Bay from the mid-bay region to the mouth of the bay. This species can grow to be 6" long and are an important prey item for flounder, striped bass and other predator fish.
