Location: Found in Little Patuxent River
I was fishing at the Little Patuxent River in Savage, MD when my buddy noticed a fish, resembling a snakhead come to the top for air. In disbelief, I climbed a tall boulder and put on my fishing glasses. Sure enough what looked to be about a 30 inch snakehead was laying on a sandy bottom in about two feet of water. The hunt was on to try to capture this savage fish. After throwing a gulp minnow near the sighting, I was able to catch a much smaller 15 inch snakehead. Not the fight I was hoping to get on my first snakehead, but none the less, one more dead snakehead. I have fished this pool and the surrounding ones all spring and this is the first I have seen or even heard of in this river. Probably the reason why I didn't catch any trout there today
