Caught One Snakehead But Lots of Babies in the Water

Type: Tidal
Region: Eastern
Location: Cambridge

I caught one snakehead. It was approximately 24-28 inches . I measured my shoe when I got home and it was 12". I used a live minnow to catch the snakehead. I was in Cambridge. MD, I took Airey Rd just pass the Wal-Mart, made a right after Cindy's (Red Building) I think it is a restaurant and followed that road for several miles until I came to the first Bridge with a boat ramp.

My wife saw a bunch of little things swimming around and thought they were water beetles. They kept moving and going down under the water and coming back up. At first I could not tell what they were. Then all of a sudden I saw the snakehead. I realized that they were the babies of the snakehead. I threw my minnow at the snakehead babies and then the fight was on. I went back to see if I could see any more snakeheads. All I saw was 3 more pods of babies snakeheads. They were to the right of the ramp by the lily pads.
