Nice Channel Cat on the Chester
Type: Tidal
Region: Eastern
Location: Chester River
I went out on the water for a Daddy/Daughter fishing trip on the Chester River. We caught tons of white perch and baby stripers (did not mean to catch the stripers though). I was using bloodworms and grocery store frozen shrimp for bait. I was reeling in a fish, thinking it was another white perch, but all of a sudden it pulled really hard, almost taking the rod out of my hands. Then, I knew I had a big fish. When I finally reeled in the fish, it was a Channel Catfish, which measured between 27-28 inches and about 7-7.5 lbs.
