Great Week at Linganore

All in all best catches this past week were a 21.5" and 19" largmouth, 14.5" crappie, and an 8" American shad which I had never caught in the lake before. A friend and Linganore resident also caught a 20" largemouth. I hope to go by Fox's in Frederick to have the largemouth certified.

DNR Response: The 8 inch fish is a golden shiner, not an American shad. Golden shiners are a common freshwater/ tidal river species and an important forage fish for species such as largemouth bass.
