Garrett County Trout Fishing Opportunities

The Freshwater Institute, a program of the Conservation Fund (www.conservationfund.org), made a generous donation of rainbow trout that were stocked in the North Branch Potomac River's Put and Take Trout Fishing Area at Barnum as well as the Youghiogheny River Catch and Return Trout Fishing Area. Both rivers have adequate coldwater for trout survival during the late summer, and these fish should provide some great trout fishing opportunities during the Labor Day holiday weekend. Pictured are a few shots of us float-stocking the trout throughout the entire length of the Yough C&R Area.
