More Success on The Monocacy

I've been living in Frederick for 3 months now and have logged in a lot of fishing time on the Monocacy River at Riverbend off Monocacy Blvd. The best spot for me so far is about 1-1.5 miles upstream from the Riverbend boat ramp. Patience is finally paying off as this past weekend I got the most action since I've been fishing this river. Friday evening as the sun was going down I caught 2 smallmouth and lost 2 that fell off as I was pulling them out (maybe time to invest in a net). Saturday morning as the sun came up I went right back to the same spot and caught 1 more and lost one. Sunday morning I got several bites but was unable to pull one in. 2 of the fish were caught on Keitech Swing Impact 4.5 pumpkin/moss, and the 3rd on a 1/12 oz silver castmaster spinner. All in all a great quiet peaceful weekend of fishing on The Monocacy.
