Many of our smaller public and private lakes are kicking out some real nice fish. We have been catching largemouth bass on buzz baits and large pumpkinseed and hybrid sunfish on drop-shot/live earth worm rigs. Nothing huge, but clear indications that fish are shifting from summer patterns to a cooler, welcomed fall bite. Low-light periods are best for the bass or rainy, cloudy days. The hybrid sunfish was just over 10 inches and the p-seeds were in excess of 9 inchesall released.
