Region: Eastern
Location: Marshyhope Creek
During the tidal bass survey of Marshyhope Creek (September 28 & 29), MD DNR collected numerous largemouth bass of all size classes, with the largest measuring almost 21 inches and weighing 5.5 pounds. Most fish were found in the upstream sections near Federalsburg. Based on the number of juvenile bass captured, it appears that there have been several years of good reproduction on the Marshyhope, which may provide good fishing opportunities to bass anglers in the coming years.
