Fall is here and I took the opportunity to get on the kayak. I went out of Nan's Cove on the Patuxent River and spent about three hours around high tide casting a small spinner bait along the shoreline. I was able to catch about a dozen and a half white perch by slowly reeling in the bait. A couple were 9 inches or more, but all were released. In fact the only thing I did keep on the day was an old hose reel I spotted along the shoreline. I had seen it back in the summer but figured it had been picked up by someone else. Nevertheless it isn't in the Patuxent anymore.
