A Fishing Birthday Party!
Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Private Pond

After a exciting weekend at the Seafood Festival and getting a junior angler award on my birthday the next weekend was my scheduled 7th birthday party, what else but a fishing party. My #1 deckhand (pappaw) set-up all the rods and we had 8 of my best buddies fishing in no time.

Many of them it was their first time and I had to help them with casting and locating the honey holes. Everyone caught plenty of slab size bluegills on red worms. Some were lucky enough to hook into a nice bass with a green and bronze worm or top water torpedo. I caught 7 bass all in the 2-3 pound range. It was another fun day of fishing with my brand new micro-spin caster. By the end of the day everyone was casting like Roland Martin on the Tennessee River. I will always remember my fishing birthday party and how hard my grandfather worked to make sure all the kids caught plenty of fish.
