It's on for hickory shad at Deer Creek. I counted 20 great blue herons feasting between Lapidum Road and the pumping station north of Stafford Bridge, but surprisingly only three anglers. The image was taken from Stafford Bridge with a polarizing filter, which revealed bucks chasing roes up and down the creek, splashing as they went after each other. Spin casters were not doing very well, but fly casters seemed to have better luck. It should only get better as long as we don't get and gully washers to muddy up the creek.
