Largemouth Bass Stocked in the Gunpowder

Inland Fisheries' Central Region and Tidal Bass Program stocked and surveyed the tidal Gunpowder River. About 300 young largemouth bass were raised by MD DNR Hatcheries and Wheelabrator Technologies, Inc (Baltimore, MD) before being released to help improve the bass fishery in Gunpowder. These efforts are taken in collaboration with Maryland BASS Nation who are stocking nearby Middle River.
