Location: Point lookout
I fished Point Lookout on Black Friday with recently appointed CCA Chairman, Frank Bonanno, his father John and friend Mike Bartgis. We saw fish breaking under birds near the mouth of the Potomac River in about 45' of water and dropped our metal jigs. I immediately hooked up a nice 29 incher which went in the box. We caught three more in the 24 inch range and kept them too. Between the four of us we must have released 40 or 50 rockfish there in about 90 minutes. The current quit and the bite died so we went into the bay in search of bigger fish. The afternoon was slow but later we saw a bird show off of Point No Point and jigged up many more stripers including another 29 incher to fill our legal limit. We must have released another 50 or 60 stripers until it was almost dark. We left them biting. What a fun day on the water fishing with some swell guys.
