What an after Christmas present was this little guy! The flows on the Morgan were very nice and with the water slightly stained, caught this beauty on a red San Juan worm. He was definitely eager to eat, and after missing my pinkish bio strike indicator, he struck at the worm ignoring the leading black wooley I also had on. I continue to be surprised where some of these lurkers are holding at times, I was convinced there was never any fish around that spot. Very happy to see the stream sustaining these lurkers. Also took several young rainbows in the faster waters pounding on the black wooley bugger.
As always, all safely released and hope that they do put a smile on someone else.
