Warm Temps, Hot Bite Ice fishing

Warm day for ice fishing at Piney Reservoir but the bite was hot on Sunday 1-31-16. Between my dad and I we caught 7 trout and I caught a 12 inch crappie and a 19.5 inch sucker which we released. The sucker put up a heck of a battle on the light ice fishing rods. Temperatures was around 50 degrees when we left the ice to go home. Ice is around 9 inches thick but the top was getting pretty wet from melting.
