Unusual catch this week. All of a sudden we are catching more American shad than hickories. Water temperature was 58F on Thursday. Where have all the hickories gone??? As Ive said before, a good planned trip at high tide should produce some angling opportunities for white perch and hickory American shad. If you are traveling upstream by boat, be cautious of the tide. It gets VERY shallow in several spots above the Rt 4 bridge. We are down one prop so far this year.
