March fishing on the Gunpowder

I went out in the rain this past weekend on he Gunpowder River, and bunkered down under a boat canopy to get away from he rain. I ended up catching a decent variety of fish. Bottom fishing with worms, size 1 hooks, and a split shot on light/ultralight tackle was the ticket to picking up the faint crappie/perch bite. Catfish bites were easy to spot and the 9 pound carp peeled drag like a marlin! I had a great day, and I'm ready for the water to warm up!
