I was fishing of a dock in a creek in South River, mostly just to enjoy the weather and a good sunset. I have never heard very much about spring rockfishing in the South River so I wasnt really expecting much in a little cove. Suprisingly, I was able to hook this nice 26-27" rock, which was my first Rockfish of the season. After snapping this picture, the healthy fish swam eagerly back into the water.
