Salisbury Shiner and Panfish

Type: Nontidal
Region: Salisbury
Location: Leonard's Mill Pond

This morning, while many Marylanders hit the bay in search for trophy rockfish, I took the opportunity to take the kayak out on Leonard's Mill Pond in Salisbury. I caught several black crappie and a few bluegill while casting a small jig with a green and white tube. I also caught a pair of golden shiners, my first ever. Each were close to 9 inches long, my own trophies. All fish caught were released to swim again. Tight lines!
