We took our 2 1/2 year old son Jackson to Jackson Pond in Columbia on Sunday 5/15/2016 for some fishing in the hopes of catching his first fish. It was very windy and fishing was short lived, coupled with the fact that Jackson dropped his little Spiderman fishing rod off the dock and into 7' of water. We still managed to hook up with a couple of sunfish and Jackson got his first fish after all. He was very willing to touch the fish and even hold it up for a photo. This was a very proud daddy moment and I look forward to passing on as much of my lifelong fishing knowledge to him as he is willing to absorb, just as my father did. I was also able to snag his rod off the bottom, so it was a win all around. Tight lines.
