It's Memorial Day weekend, and Saturday morning I drove from Salisbury down to Adkins Mill Pond in Powellville. I was using a small black and white tube from Arkie Lures trying to catch some panfish. I ended up catching most of my fish along to edge of the lily pads. I ended up with a half dozen small bluegill and black crappie. But I also caught a nice golden shiner as well as a catfish. I believe the catfish was a bullhead, maybe brown? Correct me if I'm wrong. Tight lines!
DNR Response: The catfish in the picture is a brown bullhead catfish. The quickest way to identify it is the black barbels underneath the mouth or chin. A white catfish will have white barbels underneath the mouth or chin.
