First Catfish!

Ryley was headed up to Cub Scout summer camp at Broad Creek Scout Reservation and we decided to stop for a little fishing action since we had time to kill. It was an impromptu stop so all we had was our rods and reels and a bunch of bass tackle and some snacks. We decided to use some of our slim jims, and boy was that the answer. We were using a bobber with size 12 hooks and a small piece of slim jim and no sooner did it hit the water than a fish would bite. All in all I think Ryley caught about a dozen small catfish. All were returned to the pond for another kid to be able to catch.
