Mackerel Catch

Region: Mid Bay
Location: South of Poplar Island

I was fishing with my friend Wesley Elchin, Arnold MD, yesterday (8-17-2016) and he caught his first Spanish mackerel. The fish measured 23� and was caught on a bucktail mixed in with breaking rockfish. Lots of smaller fish feeding on the surface on bay anchovies and silver sides. We where fishing south of Poplar island.
