Fishing Around

On Friday, the 7th I fished a half dozen different ponds and creeks in Worcester and Wicomico counties. I started at Corkers Creek at Shad Landing, then fished Powellville then loaded up at Barren Creek right at the boat ramp in Mardela Springs. Went to Rewastico and a few spots in Salisbury later in the day. I got over 70 fish with five dozen crappie up to 13 inches. In the mix were a few white and yellow perch, a couple of largemouth bass, some nice bluegills and a pickerel. I was casting 1/16 oz. jig with Panfish Assassin or Mister Twisters. The fishing was amazingly good right after all of the flooding. (There was lots of evidence of flooding around Salisbury and Snow Hill, 3 or 4 ft. up the trees).
