Great Day on the Bay!

I ventured down to the Bay and the mouth of the West River with my 7wt fly rod and a sinking line to chase striped bass. I landed quite a few in the 14 to 19 inch range. I managed to get two keepers over a 4 to 5 hour period that measured 23 inches each. All the fish I landed were on Half & Half patterns with large sea eyes in an all white, and white and yellow. All in all a great day! The Striped Bass were hitting on a variation of the Half/Half in all white with extra large sea eyes, and I tied it on a 2/0 Gamakatsu salt water hook. I got the sea eyes from Beaver Creek Fly Shop in Hagerstown, MD. The sea eyes are a product of Hareline Products INC, a fly tying supply company.
