Nice Rainbow from Beaver Creek

Type: Nontidal
Region: Western
Location: Beaver Creek

I just returned from a fun fishing trip to Beaver Creek Maryland. I was fishing upper Beaver Creek and enjoyed catching some smaller trout for dinner. I found a good hole and had good luck with a brass head muddler minnow. As I was going home, I saw two people fishing. In the sunlight a nice Rainbow Trout was finning in the current. I decided to come back and waited for the spot to be free. I heard that a big Rainbow broke off from a fisherman's line earlier that day. After several casts the big fish took my muddler running way up stream necessitating back reeling several times. The fish was getting my line tangled in a twig and I thought I was going to lose it when the line cleared. After several attempts I got it in into the net, took some photos, and released it. This fish, of about 21", had a tan color and I am not sure if it was a Golden Trout originally. Maybe someone else will catch this fish possibly winding up back in the stream or as teriyaki fillets for dinner.
