Banner Blue Cat Day

Type: Tidal
Region: Southern
Location: Lower Potomac

Dick Carson and I fished for blue catfish in the lower Potomac River at the beginning of the ebb tide. Once the tide started moving, it was non stop action. Using fresh cut bait and circle hooks we filled two 120 quart coolers before 11 am. The largest weighed in at 50 lbs! We also caught two 40 pounders. All were filleted and vacuum packed for delicious future dinners. What a day of fishing in the middle of the winter!
