Fishing Before Work on the Severn

I put the boat in for less than an hour Wednesday morning (Feb. 8) before work. I was fishing in the Severn River north of marker 13 and caught nearly 20 yellow perch, all small males. Started with a small Rebel crankbait, switched to a 1/16oz. Jig/grub combo. The perch are very active and ready to spawn. With the warm temperatures, it�s on!
