American Shad at Fletchers Boathouse

I just got back from my first fishing trip to Fletchers Boathouse on the Potomac. Fishing for shad and white perch is very good. I started fishing at about 5:30 PM catching Hickory Shad and then a nice American Shad that was a stubborn fighter. The Shad stopped biting and White Perch took over and I caught 5 White Perch and let them go as well. The river is alive with fish with splashes everywhere. Photos are of the American Shad and the river at dusk. Tight lines!
