Thats what happened to me! While casting lures for rockfish on the Susquehanna Flats, Tuesday, April 18, 2017, and having absolutely no bites, I noticed the water starting to move along a rocky shoreline as the tide began rolling out. So I electric motored my bass boat, moving it from shallow offshore flats to where the flowing water. I cast the lure I was casting for rockfish in close to shore. I got a bite right away. Was I surprised when I saw it was a big largemouth bass with the lure completely engulfed inside its maw! In the net, and on the Major League Fishing Scale, the bass weighed 6.09 pounds. At Bowleys Bait Store in Middle River it measured 22 inches.
