Good Day of Fishing From the River Rat

We launched out of Lapidum and motored just a minute upriver and drifted shad darts in front of the riprap shoreline about 40 yards off. We caught numerous white perch up to 11 inches and kept a few for the table. Released three hard fighting white shad, a few hickory shad, yellow perch, six small stripers and even a smallmouth bass. Pink shad darts were the best color with chartreuse being a close second. It was a nice, warm April day on the Susquehanna River with my fishing buddy Tim Burnum in his 14' boat called River Rat.
