Several young anglers took a day off from fishing and provided volunteer service at their favorite fishing areas in Garrett County. The Southern Garrett High School's Southern Bass Slayers Fishing Club teamed up with Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Freshwater Fisheries staff to do a complete shoreline clean-up of Broadford Lake on Earth Day. Frostburg State University's Casey Hayes and Jessica Klotz teamed up with Garrett College's Josiah Freese and Blake Barker to do a clean-up along the Savage River Trophy Trout Fishing Area this past weekend. Thanks goes out to these volunteers for providing a more enjoyable fishing experience for all anglers at these locations!
