May 13th was cool and drizzling but, as one of my students said "I've never caught a dry fish." I spent about 2 & 1/2 hours in the kayak just north of Salisbury and caught about a dozen fish. I had a good mix of crappie and bluegill. I also caught one largemouth as well as a couple of chain pickerel. The last pickerel measured 23 inches and was a blast to fight on light tackle. Each fish was caught on a 1/32 oz jig with a red and chartreuse crappie tube. All fish were released to swim and fight again. Tight Lines!
