Youth Fishing Rodeo

?The Maryland Department of Natural Resources recently hosted a Junior Hunter and Angler Field Day at the Midland Sportsman Club in Allegany County. The youths were able to participate in several learning stations including Turkey Biology and Management; Shotguns/Claybirds & BB Gun; Archery; and Mentored Fishing. The clubhouse pond was stocked with rainbow trout from the Bear Creek Trout Hatchery, and was opened to public fishing after the event. The event attracted about 50 children under the age of 16, and ?most of the young anglers caught fish during the mentored Fishing session?s!
