Captain Glenn McAfee (my Brother-In-Law) aboard LilGrace, and an able crew which included my wife and brother-in-law Steve McAfee along with others headed out of Solomons Island MD at 6am. We headed North-Northeast up the Bay and started fishing off of Calvert Cliffs in around 70 feet of water. The Bay was much rougher than we expected because of the 5-15 knot NE wind pushing waves down the Bay and it was mostly cloudy with a promise of the Sun poking out now and again. It wasn't until about 10am when we caught our first fish of 5 on this morning. My fish was the third one we had on the line that morning and it was obvious from the time I felt the fish on the line that it was something special. Over the next 2 and 1/2 miles I fought this monster with Glenn standing next to me talking me through it.
