After a long day of fishing on Sunday the 2nd, having only caught 4 small bass and having a large one get away that could have easily gone 3 lbs, I decided to try one more area before leaving. I was making long cast trying to hit a small pocket of open water, and kept missing to the right or left. On the last miss, I began to reel in my top water mouse fast to make another cast, then came the big splash! I could hear it more than see it because of the thick lily pads. I felt tension in the rod, so I set the hook, and there was the 3.53 pound beauty!
