This weekend, my wife and I camped at New Germany State Park. I got to fish the magnificent Savage River targeting brook trout. I managed to catch a few, the biggest took a black ant. Smaller ones on nymphs and a griffith's gnat. I also caught some blacknosed dace and rosyside dace. When I saw a flash in the water, I put on a blacknosed dace and caught this rainbow too! Since it was in the put and take area, it became dinner. Alas, I didn't catch any of the brook trout that have transmitters. All brookies were released safely back to the river. The largemouth was caught and released back into the New Germany State Park lake.
