Snakehead off Surrats Road

As you all know, there are a lot of creeks meandering through Prince Georges County. I remember a spot off Surrats Road that seemed deep enough to hold fish and decided to check it out. As suspected, first few casts netted quite a few bluegills. But man, there was some bass sitting on top of the water that seemed uninterested in my lure. Using light tackle and a cricket rattle lure I bought on eBay. A had a hit that took me a least a good 10 minutes to bring in due to the size of the fish. Until I got him to shore, I couldn't believe what I caught, a 16" Snakehead! Can't wait to go back!
